AfroSolo Arts Festival 29: Standing Our Ground!
The critically acclaimed AfroSolo Arts Festival continues its 29-year-old legacy of presenting Black artists giving voice to the Black experience. On May 27 and 28, 2023, the Festival presents a stellar program that features 1. A mini-concert by soprano Jeanine Anderson performing Black Spirituals accompanied by Harpist From The Hood, Destiny Muhammad. 2. This free event will also feature award-winning actor, writer, director, and solo artist Brian Maurice Freeman performing “Tumble. Fall. Embrace” about Black Joy and the moment Coretta & MLK Met.”
3. On the same program will be noted musician and poet Avotcja.
